Pride Toronto will:
Company: In Three Boring Sentences
1. www.collegetowntraders.com is a niche website that serves students in college and university across North America by providing them with a common classifieds website.
2. Our goal is to connect students who share commonalities in buying or selling specific items, which before may not have been possible without a central trading floor.
3. We are looking to promote an on campus economy that should be optimized for the students’ benefit.
Concept Development: The Story
Enough with the corporate talk, the idea was created to fill the void of small towns that often house thousands of students every year that the typical classified websites overlook and ignore.
Sitting in a run down college home in the middle of May, in a town where cows overpopulate humans, we needed to sell our belongings to pay for gas to get all the way home. With no website or central location to accomplish this feat, the cerebral light bulb suddenly turned on and the rest is history. We are pretty much living vicariously through students today, as they are provided with not only a great site, but the chance and opportunity to make some coin.
